Business Innovation and Investment Visa (Provisional) – subclass 188
This Visa consists of seven Visa options or subclass of Visa. They are:
Business Innovation Stream (Business Visa)
This Visa is a provisional Visa for people who have business skills.
Eligibility:
You MUST lodge an expression of interest (EOI) via Skillselect.
You will then be nominated by Australian state or territory government.
Once you have been nominated, you will be invited to make a Visa application.
What can you do?
Operate a new or exisiting business.
Stay in Australia for 5 years.
Cost:
$6085.00
Processing time:
The processing time for this Visa can be lengthy. It can take 30-35 months for your application to be processed.
Investor Stream (Investor Visa)
This Visa is a temporary visa and allows you to invest up to $2.5 million in Australian investments.
Eligibility:
You MUST lodge an expression of interest (EOI) via Skillselect.
You will then be nominated by Australian state or territory government .
Once you have been nominated, you will be invited to make a Visa application.
Invest a minimum of AUD $1.5 million in an Australian state or territory.
What can you do?
Maintain a business or investment activity.
You can stay in Australia for 5 years.

Processing time
It can take between 28 and and 33 months for this Visa to be processed.
Significant Investor Stream
This Visa is a temporary visa and is for investors who are investing at least AUD $5 million.
Eligibility:
You MUST lodge an expression of interest (EOI) via Skillselect.
You will then be nominated by Australian state or territory government .
Once you have been nominated, you will be invited to make a Visa application.
You MUST invest at least AUD $5 million.

Business Innovation Extension Stream

Lived in Australia for the past 2 years while on the subclass 188 Visa.
You must demonstrate a successful record of entrepreneurial activity in Australia while you held your Visa.

Business Talent (Permanent) Visa – subclass 132
This Visa consists of:
Significant Business History Stream
This Visa is a permanent visa and applies to experienced business owners and allows them to operate a new or exisiting business in Australia.
Eligibility:
You must have a net value of AUD1.5 million (lawfully acquired).
An annual business turnover of at least AUD 3 million for at least two years of the four fiscal years immediately before you are invited to apply.
Total net business assets of at least $400,000.00 as ownership interest in at least one or more qualifying businesses for at least two years of the four fiscal years immediately before you are invited to apply.

Venture Capital Entrepreneur Stream
This Visa is a permanent visa and is for people who have sourced venture capital funding from a member of the Australian Investment Council (AIC).
