COVID-19 has greatly impacted our ability to travel internationally and domestically for the past 18 months, with significant travel restrictions in place to protect public health. The Australian Government closed Australia’s international borders in March 2020 and many states and territories closed internal borders, restricting movement within the country.
With Australia’s boarders slowly re-opening, now is the perfect time to book your holiday to Australia.
To enter Australia, you will need an Australian Visa. For assistance with your application, contact our Immigration team for a free initial consultation.
There are four visa options available to tourists and working holiday makers. They are:
Tourist Stream
Evisitor
Electronic Travel Authority (ETA)
Visitor Visa
Working Holiday Visa subclass 417 and 462
If you are a New Zealand citizen, you can enter Australia without a visa, and apply for your visa upon entering the country.
You can make an online application by creating an Immiaccount on the Department of Home Affairs website. If you are located outside of Australia and you require further information or assistance, you can contact your local Australian embassy.
The Department of Home Affairs is responsible for the administration of visas. Take the complexity out of the process. Our team is comprised of both Immigration lawyers and registered migration agents. This means we can assist you to apply for the right Visa or appeal an unfavourable decision of the Department of Home Affairs.
Australia is home to some of the most dangerous animals and landscapes in the world. If you are travelling to Australia, where potentially everything can kill you, it is recommended that you also arrange your own travel and health insurance. This is especially important in light of the current global pandemic.
